The cell is the fundamental unit of life. Or, another way to think of it, the cell is the smallest unit of biological computation. By taking a wider approach and encoding the cell, we identify the set of changes that underlie the start and progression of a disease.

Focusing on the cell has another advantage – it frees us from thinking of single targets or pathways. Since every disease stems from a disorder at the cellular level, our approach is applicable to any disease. It allows us to uncover new biology and treatments that would have been impossible to find with target-based discovery.

Cellarity’s platform is a transformational drug creation engine that targets cell behavior. Our platform is built for clinical success and based on untapped science.

It’s a unique three step process:

Cellarity Maps identify cell behaviors

1. We start with diseased human tissue, and we measure and define the cellular dysfunction underlying the disease process.

2. We identify drugs that address this cellular dysfunction and engender the desired cell change using our Intervention Library. In this stage, we can uncover novel biology overlooked by target-based approaches.

3. Our Drug Design Studio creates new chemical entities by learning from features of effective interventions and optimizing their activity, producing an entirely novel chemical entity at its conclusion.

Our Pipeline

We have demonstrated our precise ability to change the disease behaviors in 10 different therapeutic areas. We have already produced compounds that trigger that change and confirmed their activity through in vitro and in vivo models of disease. This work strengthens our proprietary understanding of how cell behavior manifests in disease and how to impact it at the cellular level to reverse disease.
